Without the Need for Conscious Reasoning

Without the Need for Conscious Reasoning is a set of nine pieces that include painting, collage and text. This project is a practice of reconfiguration by reusing parts of old paintings, journal entries and interactions the artist has while working. Visually, bold geometric forms offer balance to images where words are scattered and chosen by chance. The artist starts applying the color blue in the background of every piece and then adds more visual elements. This stabilizing quality of painting brings together things that were originally not meant to coexist. The mix of colors creates an atmospheric composition, while small pieces of paper create a sense of texture.

While Inconsequential Decision Making is an inward process, Intuition Research is a forever practice of gathering all information the artist has ever been exposed to. Through Intuition Research, the artist works to bring order to the chaos, attempting to connect the dots between seemingly disparate ideas. By using old work, journal entries, and her own interactions with people as the medium, the works are deeply personal. The pieces are a glimpse into the artists own attempts at creating order out of the chaos of her own experience.
