Right Now Mind

connection / nourishment / warmth / light

Right Now Mind is a participatory event series offering space for creative decompression, connection, and mindfulness—low-pressure gatherings designed to help the nervous system soften, trust, and open through art-making and conversation.

At its core, it is a charging station for global citizens—a place where compassionate thinkers, givers, and doers gather not only to unwind, but to remember the social fabric that binds us. Come through, slow down, hang out, be in one another's company, move your hands on something simple, mindless, and creative.

It's easy. It's fun. It's restorative.

We're all holding a lot—life, the world, all of it—and creating space to pause and connect is essential. It's easy to get lost in the noise, but shared, intentional time is what keeps us moving, what helps us show up. These events allow people to engage in what can feel radical today: slowing down together, with care.

Coming to Right Now Mind means: be here, right now. Recharge, leave with hearts full, minds rejuvenated, and renewed energy to carry into the next day.

History

The project began in 2011 in Juneau, Alaska, born out of a personal need for grounding during a dark and chaotic winter. It has since traveled to Dreamers Welcome in Brooklyn and The Painted Cloud, evolving into a mobile, community-rooted practice that fosters moments of care, clarity, and collective imagination.
